Spring 2018 marks the first time a diesel engine will be found under the hood of Ford’s F-150 full-size truck, with the inclusion of a newly-developed 3.0-litre V6 Power Stroke turbodiesel engine.
For decades, the Power Stroke nomenclature has been synonymous with the Super Duty lineup of heavy-duty pickup trucks Ford produces. The new 3.0-litre V6 Power Stroke turbodiesel engine found in 2018 F150 models was developed by the same powertrain team as the Super Duty trucks, so it only makes sense for the powerplant to deliver a best-in-class 250 horsepower and 440 lb.-ft. of torque.
